Trinity Leverages Strong Relationships to Power a Shutdown

In the energy sector, no business is an island. Collaboration is crucial to the success of any endeavor, which is why Trinity Power works hard to maintain strong relationships with trustworthy vendors, electrical contractors, logistics companies and more.

These connections came in handy on a recent project in Alberta.

The Client: An Established Infrastructure Services Provider

For over 60 years, this Ontario-based company has been providing comprehensive energy infrastructure services to clients including utilities, municipalities and other big players in the energy sector.

With a commitment to the environment, this client offers planning, building and maintenance services on both renewable and non-renewable energy projects.

The Challenge: A Shutdown in Need of Temporary Power

Thanks to their long-standing reputation and experience, our client had been contracted by a utility company on a project that involved the replacement of a transformer and, therefore, a shutdown.

Because of our track record supporting successful shutdowns, this client reached out to the Trinity team to provide a turn-key temporary power solution for a commercial building that would be impacted by the temporary loss of utility power.

Our Approach: A Collaborative Solution

Although Trinity has a wide selection of high-quality distribution equipment in our inventory, our top concern is what will be best for our client. In this case, the most economical option was to source all of the equipment from one of our re-rent partners. This equipment included a 300kW 600V generator rental along with 300 feet of 1c#4/0 camlok cable.

Reaching out to our partners once more, Trinity also subcontracted an experienced Electrical Contractor to install and demobilize the equipment, ensuring smooth transitions.

The Result: A Cost-Effective Solution

Because of Trinity’s carefully curated relationships with our industry partners, we were able to provide our client with a cost-effective solution that delivered exactly what they needed, allowing them to complete their shutdown while maintaining power to the commercial building.
